Full Storm Drain Replacement Due to Flooding
Turramurra customer had severe flooding in back yard and adjacent to pool which caused damage to window frames and inside of house.Customer wanted to sort out once and for all his severe storm water issues. Although there were already extensive storm water lines on the property, all of it was 90mm which limited flow and the pool back flush pipe was connected to the storm water instead of the sewer as required. We removed 120 square metres of pavers and another 50 square metres of concrete around the house. We also had to remove 14 cubic metres of soil since the original paving was higher than the damp course of the house. Following all paver, concrete and soil removal we excavated new trenches and replaced the old 90mm pipe with approximately 145 metres of new 100mm PVC plumbing pipe. 100mm PVC has around a 60% better carrying capacity than 90mm pipe and is also much stronger. We re-routed the pool back flush piping to the sewer overflow gully at the front of the house. We then back-filled all trenches and prepared the site for the landscapers.
We also made recommendations on the landscaper and concrete specialist to use to complete the works.
